Artist's Comments

I just took my first painting class. This was my final project. This is technically my 4th painting. I am quite the beginner. I really enjoyed painting this. It took about 4 days including building the stretcher bars, then stretching and preparing the canvas.

I have a tendency to draw trees when I am bored in class. One day, I had sketched a tree with a silhouette of a guitar in it. I told myself, "One day, I'm going to paint this." Years later, I took my first painting class. Well! I did the best I could!

That is SO cool! Brilliant idea, and looks great for being one of your first paintings.

Such a brilliant concept for a painting, Casey. Everything comes full circle it seems

I'm working on some things. Its a long procedure, but sure is satisfying. :)

ESPECIALLY! I wonder though, what people would say if I wasn't a beginner???

I remember it being quite theraputic..those times when I was able to get my head together long enough to concentrate. True, the result was never worhty of da Vinci or Picasso, but I enjoyed it. Often times, the finished work evolved into something entirely different than what I had originally begun :)
